Just curious of who and what what kind of results you get water cooling your various rigs.

Any H20 GPU folders among us?

I water cool my rig . 42 load temp @ 1.6v and load temps on 2 differnet vidcards never went over 35 deg

E6400 @ 3.2 - 1.325v
Core 0: 32C idle - 36C load
Core 1: 34C idle - 39C load

I'm planning on throwing a GPU block on this x1900XTX. Sure does put out a TON of heat if it's folding.

at my sig.

even tho I w/c both CPU and GPU, it's only folding SMP on the CPU.

I am WC'ing might first dud of a q6600 ... which needs 1.425V just to run ar 2.9 ghz  core1 always runs hot on the quads ... low 60's even with water.

Am in the process of watering the other q6600 which is running at 1.35V at 2.9 ghz with a sonic tower atm. Hopefully it will get my temps down and oc up  High 50s-low60's on core 1, mid-high 50's on others.

I used to run water on my sig rig but stole it for benching the other rigs, till i put in on q6600 #1. .

I haven't been keeping up with posts in the Case Mod / Alt Modding / section Nik.

Very nice.

I love seeing new pics of that machine.... it's just plain stunning imho.

Whenever nik posts a pic of it, it's almost a guarenteed threadjack :)

i think we have a member or two doing farm scale WC and even a geothermal loop or two at that.

Yes, we do. Pcout is still waiting for the ground to thaw up in Canada. :D

You know how them Canuks are. :D

ya know most people use geothermal for their homes , I guess you guys are a bit insane to drop 15k on a heatsink , I think that qualifies as the most expensive hs ever

I have been folding on water for a long time. Just built a new machine recently(see sig) and moved all my h20 to that.

Results are excellent. Getting a good oc out of a rig folding 24/7 generates alot of heat, especially in the summer, so the water helps a bunch.

Are there any pics of this around? That sounds really cool.

If you Search "pscout" in the water section, His Geothermal Thread is in there.

He's holding off for now (ground thaw :p ) or something like that. ;)

I thought i posted this link here but it must have been another thread ...

here is a link to a thread i started last year on a project I started to geothermal cool my folding farm. It didn't get completed before summer heat tapered off last year ... but it is waiting for me to complete it this spring.

1 ground loop ~ 35' iirc is buried, i think i completed all the manifolds.
Several pumps and 5 waterblocks to test its cooling capacity.
Just needs me to complete the rigging including the entrance to the house, pump mounts, manifold installation so i can still get at the rigs, etc.
