View Full Version : How to raise vcore without jumpers or bios?
Hi, i got a P!!!600@800 which runs unstable with 133FSB. I think a little bit more vcore would help but my Board (Gigabyte bx6-e) does not allow to manually adjust vcore. So i searched for another way to raise voltage and found tips to tape the VID pins on a Slot P!!! but i found no tip how to reach 1,75 or 1,8 V only 2,1 or 2,2 which is definitely too much. I looked in the P!!! Datasheet but the Combination of taped pins i tryed from that doesn't work (one got me 2,7V!). I hope someone knows the combination or maybe can tell me that it won't work what im trying.
Seeing nobody else has come up with a suggestion why don't you try your question over at http://www.asusboards.com/vbulletin/
do a search for the "Wire Trick" or send an email to Anders Peterson who goes by the nick of StarTraveller, he or somebody else should be able to point you in the right direction even though you have a Gigabyte (shame on you!:)) board and not an Asus.
Thanks for the answer! In the meantime i found a way to raise the vcore but i need more freetime to do the soldering action :(
