View Full Version : I know I'm being lazy but...
can anyone tell me if you know off the top of your head whether or not ATI tray tools works well with Catalyst 7.3? Much appreciated.

I am running the catalyst 7.3 drivers without CCC and using ATItools instead with no problem.
I'm running the 7.3's without CCC and w/ ATI Tray Tools. ATT works just fine. Better than the CCC, I think
Thanks for the replies. I actually tried it out with ccc installed and used the fan control option which worked fine. I'm a little confused about how ocing works though. I tried setting the clocks to a 662\774 which works with ccc but when i tried with att the screen got all warped and the vcard stopped responding. I guess ive got some learning to do. One more question. If I remove ccc and disable hotkey poller, do I have to manually instruct att to switch to 3d for each application separately or does it do a good job of detecting 3d apps without guidance? If possible I'd like to have it automatic with att just like it is with ccc, the difference being that its 3d mode will be at max possible oc with additional necessary volts and tweaked fan speed.

The reason your screen got all warped is because you have to manually set the videocard voltages when you're overclocking with ATT. It defaults to 2d voltages. The 3rd tab on the overclocking screen is for voltages.
As far as automatically switching from 2d speeds to 3d with ATT, i have no clue. I've never done it before. Once you disable the Hotkey Poller though, you'll have to have something to tell when the video card to switch speeds. I think ATI Tool does it, but not sure about ATT.
