I'm trying to do a volt mod to my M2N-E, which has a maximum Vdimm of 1.95. Since I have no experience with electricity, and would like to minimize the risk of screwing things up, I was looking for some help.
I bought a multimeter last night (Sperry DM-350A), and have no clue how to use it. From the guides I have found online, I've figured out I need to put the black lead in to the COM hole, and the red lead in to the V hole, correct? Next, I have to have the meter on the V(Line with three dots under it) setting (specifically 20 Edit: Or is it 200m?) right?
Thirdly, I assume I do the measurements with the system turned on?
Also, when checking the measurements, I put the black lead on a ground, such as my case, followed by the red lead on where I'm looking for a reading, right? With my motherboard, this is the right part, right?

Finally, does the same procedure hold true for my graphics card?
Sorry for all the stupid questions, but we all have to start somewhere :).
Thanks for any help you can provide!
