Hey all. I got a nice AM2 system here, let me spec it out.

Asus M2N-E
X2 4200+
1 GB PC2 5300
Nvidia 7300GT 256 mb
LG DVD Burner
120gb drive
All running on a SmartPower II 350w

So I am running this box ok, but it seems that the PSU doesn't like it when its at full load. I need to get a new one but I am poor. So I was looking at 2 PSUs.

Antec Earthpower 380w (http://www.pccyber.com/scrItem.asp?product_subtypes_id=160&product_types_id=30&product_id=11894)

TT TR2 430w (http://www.pccyber.com/scrItem.asp?product_subtypes_id=137&product_types_id=30&product_id=6147)

I like Antec generally but the 430w is cheap and every now and again I hear a good thing about TT. Anyone know which would be the best? Can i rely on the TT one?

What's your budget? You might want to check out the classifieds here to see what you can pick up.

What about an Enhance unit? If not, from what I hear, XCilo (or whatever) makes a fairly nice unit for cheap.

I can go for these other things but the only choice I have is with this store since I can get a discount there

Well if I had to pick between the TT and the Antec I would go with the TT. From what I hear TT has been doing better with their more recent units. I have a TT 430w I bought a few years ago and it still works fine.

Also Directcanada is the best online seller for computer parts in canada. Its operated by NCIX.

Dont be fooled by the price, this PSU has been PROVEN to work wonders on light loaded computer like yours. It beats the TT430w by far.

I have the 300w version of that and it works great. No complaints at all.

Yeah, you can't go wrong with Sparkle on a budget build, I've had several and they work great.

Yeah. Sparkle (FSP) makes a terrific PSU. You won't be disappointed. As I have mentioned before, I have basically been using FSP/Sparkle exclusively for years now with 100% stability. ANything from the PowerQ 300 on up. All great units.
You'll be happy with a SParkle or FSP :)
