I am doing the research on my first hombuilt system. As far as my budget is concerned, I am not afraid to spend money as long as it is well spent.
Now if I buy a case from one place and a power supply from another, I can do better that if I buy a package deal.
I am looking at Antec power supplies and I want to know if I could run into trouble buying a power supply which is larger than I need?
when it comes to power supply's bigger is always better!, the more power you have the more components you can run without getting into any trouble, and if the power supply is larger then what you currently need you will always have all that extra power to run a bigger and better pc in the future :)

yep price is the only worry
get the most power you can afford
will save you from upgrading in the future too
and get a decent brand
ie. antec,enermax etc

Yes, bigger is better. But bigger can also be a waste. There is no sense in paying a stupid amount of money for a 500Watt PSU when you dont have anything to draw that much power. Sure, the components will only use what they need, but why put that much money into nothing.
Also, stay away from Enermax PSU's. There is no warranty on those and if they fry and take your system with it, which they have been known to do, you are up that proverbial creek without a paddle.
