Is it doable? by setup, i mean a very light setup, mostly embedded system.

Like : 1000mhz @1.1v , 512mb ram, mATX board with onboard Lan, Audio and Video. For storage it would mostly be thro network. Each of them may have a small drive or a Flashdrive to store their own OS. I will probably test them with HDs first.

I'm thinking to power BOTH of them by a SINGLE FSP 400w. Both of them will run fanless in a single exhaust fan small case.

So is it doable? If so can someone explain how? I know how to dual PSUs for one computer but never try both computers on one PSU.

I will start this project pretty soon, probably in this month.

Thanks,

btw, can i mod them to SHARE a single optical drive?

I wonder how you will power them with one motherboard connector? Is there a spliter for that?

they have been DIY'd in the past.
XOC had a artical (mostly used for folding) on it IIRC
