Does anyone here have any experience to the return of an Intel chip under warranty? I may have burned my P4 1.7 ghz chip and i was wondering how long it took to receive a new one from intel.
Once you get them to agree to an RMA, it can all be done in less than a week. It depends more on you than them. If you feel like paying to have it overnighted to them, they are going to return it via Fed-Ex 2 day. I think their RMA depot is located in KY or TN, so you should be able to do the math from your location. As I said, they don't mess around on their end, it will come back to you fast, if they have it in inventory, which I assume they would.

Mine came with a overnight delivery. They got it on Friday and I received the new chip on Monday. You got to admit that extra cash that intel gets for their chips pays off in the RMA end.
