Prices are in CDN. I think I will be using an E6420 with an Asus P5B Deluxe, but not 100% sure. I will be overclocking, hoping to get around 3.4-3.6GHz

Which memory would you choose? The first two use D9GMH, the last uses Promo IC's I think. Cost isn't overly an issue, but if I don't need to spend the money, I wouldn't want to.

Thanks for the help. :)

Ok thanks for the reply. They were my original choice, and they have dropped about $50 in price since I first eyed them.

But then again, those Mushkin's are on sale, dropped over $150 with rebate. Would you say the Team Group's are still better?

yes, the TG are still the better rams (actually, i shouldn't say that, D9GMH is D9GMH).

but really, for your goal of 3.6ghz, you only need ram that will do ddr2-900 speeds, or 450mhz. any of those rams will get you there (mind you the TG will probably do it with tighter timings).

here's my TG ddr2-667, using 2.35v:

funny, when i got my 667's, they were considerably cheaper than the 800's. now, its the other way around... strange..

Hey thanks a lot for the info. Looks like I'll be going with Team.

Is there anything else out there I should consider?

no, not really. its tough to find specific memory in Canada, but you can't really go wron with d9's. ;)

Yeah I hear you.

I've actually had to order a few things from the States due to poor availability in Canada. Although NCIX does a pretty good job at carrying stuff otherwise only sold in the US.

I still can't find anyone in Canada selling the higher CFM Yate Loons, so I'll have to order them from the states too. Picking one up for my heatsink, but waiting for a quote from Petra, as if it's too high I'll just get the rebranded Nexus for the higher mark-up here in Canada.

Thanks for the help.

The Promo's used by the HK's are actually very good, Ive seen 500FSB+ reviews..

It depends on how much you like benchmarks like superpi ;)

I'll bench and find out where my system tops out, but I'll run it at a comfortable level good for 24/7 use. I just want the best memory for the money that will max out my CPU.
