View Full Version : Apr 22nd Build needs some input.
Im going to be building another rig after april 22nd price drop and i need to decide on a mobo/proc combo. The mother boards im looking at are Asus Commando, p5w dh and p5b. Procs im looking at are the e6600 and e6400 or their new variants after their release. I picked up 2 sets of 2gig team xtreem d9s a few months ago ( i got a killer deal). I already have a p5w dh with a e6000 @ 3.6ghz running a set of those xtreem sticks and its great. Would another combo give me a better set up?

You might get higher clocks on a 965 board than your P5W DH, but 3.6Ghz is nothing to sneeze at.
What video card where you planning on?

currently running 2 1950xtx crossfire, but im not sure what ill throw in the new rig, might use one of mt my 1950xtxs and wait on the new ati cards.
Btw, which ever comp performs better, my sister will be getting the other.

A P5B and a 6450 would be an interesting combo. You could play around with it before the new ATI cards are out.

There is a pretty good DFI for $140 you might want to consider.

That BadAx2 is outrageously priced and $110 more than the DFI is going for.
