View Full Version : Does vcore affect FSB?

I just wanted to ask if upping the vcore voltage will affect the FSB overclock in any way. I know it feeds the cpu, but in my mind that would help a multiplier overclock. Will it also help a FSB overclock?
I think it does! When I get my multiplier set, I start to increase FSB until it becomes unstable. Then I restart, and up the vcore. 40+ is hopeless for me though! :(

,but if you are just doing a straight FSB overclock, will upping the vcore help?

I would have to say no. When I was running my K7S5A, I had my FSB set to 150. As you know, there isn't a vcore option in the bios. So that means I was running 150 at default voltage! (1.76)
I would give anything to do that now!:( 1.2@1.350@150

I needed to up my voltage to get my fsb up to 133 (on a Duron 750) with a K7S5A.

I think that you are worried with the ram getting enough voltage so up the ram voltage too.
