Should I get a 62 or a 80 Watt peltier for my PIII600@888 2.0 CV?.
I'm gonna use it with my PEP66.

Any suggestions?

TIA

I say a 80watt would be best but you need some good cooling for it

Assuming you have a delta on that pep66 you should get roughly these temps...
No TEC = 33C
62W TEC = 23C
80W TEC = 19C
This assumes 25C ambient and 16V TEC run at 12V.

ThanX all, think I'll try the 80W Peltier as its only $4 more.

Could you tell me how to calculate that? (I'm sure I've read it somewhere but it wasn't really necessary for me to remember back then).
I forgot to mention that I already have a 62W TEC on my PEP66 (it isn't mine, that's probably the reason I forgot :p )
The temps are:
24C ambient
24-25C full load (average 24C after 3 days F@H, surfing, playing MP3's and the other usual stuff).
Sorry no Idle temps all I know its below 14C (haven't done anything to prevent condensation...yet :eh?: )
And yes I have a Delta, and yes the TEC runs @12V, I must say that I didn't lap the coldplate really well and I used generic paste cuz I'll have to put my own TEC on in a week or two, I'll do a better job then:D , so you were VERY close, Excellent ButcherUK.

I hope I'll hit 900 (hey its a cA2) with the 80W TEC, I was stuck at 840 before I used the 62W TEC (Well on a blue monday I got it stable at 852 but the next day it was a nogo).
I'll also make two fan adapters, One for a 92mm Sunon fan ~42CFM but less MAP as the Delta and one for a 80mm 46CFM Delta.......No more screaming gremlins in my box.

BTW: hunter00 do you want me to remove the picture?:p

I use a program to calc it it takes into account cold plate, TEC, hsf, and ambient measurements. I was kind of guessing so of the params such as coldplate and assuming 16V TECs at 12V so it;s not a bad guess. :)
TEC calc can be found here: http://come.to/MrEvil

I LOVE that picture. I can really relate to the guy that uses it. Is that not a dedicated overclocker or what.
