Super Talent DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

I will be putting together a new system within the next couple months (waiting on April price drops) and was wondering about this brand of memory. I'm not too familiar with this brand, but the reviews from newegg seem pretty good, not to mention the timings are pretty sick, no? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820609026

Anyways, just wanted to get some feedback from you guys, since the people around here are usually much more informed about things then reviewers off newegg. Is this off brand memory good? How does it stack up against more popular names (OCZ, and Corsair). Are there better options out there for around the same price? Just looking for some info. Thanks!

Supertalent is some pretty good ram from what ive read.It no longer use's micron chips but its still good ram.I cant find any reviews of this ram with the blue h/s.

I bought a set of Geil DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 and let me tell you for $129.00 + $4.99 S/H i got an awesome deal.My board no longer has the cold boot issue it had with the OCZ's and i can run DDR2 1000 4-4-4-12 with 2.3v and maybe better but i havent tried to tighten the timimgs up yet.But if you want decent ram cheap you cant go wrong with this Geil 2gig set

.If you get a E6300/E6400/E4300/E4400 get real good DDR2 800 or DDR2 1000 or higher .With E6600 and up DDR2 800 should handle your needs.

You might wanna consider some of these.I know some are a litlte more money but they are worth it

What is this D9 you speak of?

D9 is the type of chips used in the ram.The D9's OC the best and will do low timings at higher speeds ..Most other chips cant do this as well as the D9's.Google Micron D9 you will see

almost like the BH5 of DDR2

I just picked up a kit for myself yesterday!

I have a set of that with 5-5-5-15 timings overclocked to what I have in my sig, it's great ram!

I've had it running at 980ish stock timings, but it's faster with the tightened timings.


Great stuff, two thumbs up from me.
