My computer just crashed so I need to build another one.

So far I plan on using:

-Intel C2D 6420
-EVGA 8800GTS
-Crucial Ballistix 2gb ddr1000
-Asus Commando
-2x Hitachi T7K500 320GB
-1x WD Raptor 74gb
-Samsung 18x sata dvd burner
-Soundblaster x-fi xtremegamer
-Samsung floppy drive
-Sunbeam Rheobus fan controller
-7 yate loons
-Corsair dominator ram cooler
-2x cold cathodes

I have no clue on the power requirments of this system. I also dont know which brands of psu's are very reliable. I want a quite psu that is under $160. Also in the next couple of months, I may switch to water cooling. Which of these psu's should I get? Add to this list if you know of a better one in this price range.

Thanks for your help,

Matt

I'd personally go with the Corsair 620HX. I have a OCZ 700W and a Corsair 520HX, and the rock-solid rails and near-inaudible noise levels of the Corsair have really impressed me.

But, any of the above would do.

I am very happy with my Silverstone OP650. It also has the new 8pin PCIe power connector, so if you ever want to upgrade from that 8800GTS, you will probably need that.

Silverstone OP650 650W - single 54A 12v rail - $128 (http://deadeyedata.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=137)

You can use the code JONNYGURU in checkout and save ~$10. That pretty much covers shipping.

This gets drop shipped directly from Silverstone too. So your invoice is directly from them.

I forgot to mention earlier that I will be overclocking the cpu and possibly gpu.

That Silverstone will handle that just fine.

They do have the OP750 if you want to spend a few $$ more and get a 60A 12v rail.

Or they have the DA650 or DA750 which is the modular versions of these power supplies.

Corsair HX520/620. Plenty of power and Seasonic quality/silence inside.

I got my PCP 750 silencer for 170 shipped. It is a refurb direct from PCP. Comes with 3 year warranty.
