Well, try Cyrix, it's the same crap as Intel but for the half price.
:D :D :D

You *are* joking, right?

Cyrix procs have yet to meet the C500 yet.

LOL Yup Cyrix are VERY SLOW as a matter of fact they aren't even half as fast as Intel heh they aren't even on the market no more.

actually i saw some benchies where a Celly 266 crushed a Cryix600......INtel is a lot better than you AMDFreaks let on to be.....back in the days of the celly 300a, how many amd amd people were talking then?...also on pricewatch the Cyrix Chips are a little more expensive clock/per clock than PIIIs (think P4 vs.A Athlon with a larger difference in performance:eek: )....

also those PIII700Es were pretty damn sweet, can anyone say 50% overclock??? (Try to make an XP beat that :p ) If the PIII700 is the work of the devil, then i feel bad for God....he has a lot of work on his hands:D

Have to disagree with ya

Intel is a very solid brand, but be real, Athlons outperform the greatest P4 2G chips by up to 20%!
And all this pleasure comes at half price.

I still respect PII/PIII series, those times (well say 2-3 years ago) Intel was a leader, now it's more like paying for Intel's kewl TV adds rather than for performance...

eh?

ahh a wise man... although last time i posted in this section of the forums people started yelling at me to get back to the AMD section... soon they will see the error of there ways :D

Well unless we're joking, we hardly mean it. I'm pretty sure more than a few of us own both AMD and Intel rigs. We just happen to favor intel a lil more for various reason. Er..

Some like Coke, some like Pepsi=)

Dimitry lets not start this into a debate for once :)

People will have their tastes although AMD has very good performance for their prices the heat issue should be really fixed. That would of course own then.. :)

Yeah, heat is a problem with Athlons, in order to get a full performance and OC AMD chip you have to do a huge homework on fighting the heat.
Intel's P4 on other hand, more costly and slightly less powerfull, but a real ICE boxes :burn: !

yada yada ya....whatever, AMD and Intel are both wonderful creations. anyway, i still go with intel so far, for i dislike the thought that my chip is burn in smoke for some stupid reason such as a malfunctioning of fan. That really worries me a lot every time i think of it. I know, i know, the actually rate for such scenario from taking place is lame, but still...scary..

Hehe

Soon enough one going to regret that Fan burned because of that stupid CPU, cuz your hi-performance fan going to cost you more ...

lol, i always wondered why someone would buy a 75$ Swifty heatsink for an Athlon 1GHZ......also i never said intle was better than AMD, just better than some AMD fans will admit.....i agree though that all the intel action seems to be goign on at the PII/PIII/Celeron levels.....the Celly 1.2 rocks!!!

Hmm, did get it, so if I have 2 Intel boxes and 2 AMD I still have to stick with "AMD Corner"?

No, you'd be the referee... your objectivity as an owner of both qualifies you for this :D .

well, they stopped making cpus, but their calculators and other devices are still in full steam.....i believe that they are an independant country, any high school goign student will tell you the importance of a Ti-83+ in fudging math tests :p ...but then teachers came up with the nocalc portion:mad:
