I have a Linksys BEFSR41 router (wired), connected to that is a Motorola Surfboard cable modem, and 2 PCs (1 XP and 1 Vista), both connected to the internet via the router and modem, and with file and printer sharing set up on both. I also have a Netgear WGR614 wireless router. The question is, is there any way of keeping my existing network as it is (using the Linksys), can I connect the Netgear somehow to use solely as a wireless access point for my PSP and DS?

Yes, turn off DHCP on the netgear.

I'm using two routers and a switch in my place with this method.

As mentioned just turn off DHCP on the 2nd one and make sure to plug into the switch ports and not the wan port or you'll get double nat which is generally a bad thing. This is how I have my access point set up behind my smoothwall, works great.
