View Full Version : My Ati 9250 doesn't work with Vista!

I've installed Vista recently on my Athlon 2500+, 512 MB RAM, and it works great, but:
I used my TV, connected via S-video port, to watch movies. In Windows XP I used Ati control panel to do it the proper way. And how do I do it in Vista?
I've downloaded catalyst 5270 beta - and there is no support for Radeon 9250!
Where do I get the right drivers or any other options please?
I Don't believe there is any support for it other than the default drivers.

Did it act as if you tried to install the ATI video drivers with a non-ATI video card, with an error message, saying that it failed to detect the video card and terminated?
The newer Catalyst driver installers will with Radeon 9250 video cards!
You're required to get a separate Catalyst driver package for pre-Radeon 9500 video cards! Support for Radeon 9250 and lower are not in the same package anymore!
I think only the latest driver sets work with Vista and the latest driver sets don't work with the 9250. It's not that Vista doesn't support your card, it's that ATI has dropped support for it.

Go to ATI's web site and in the menu, select "Windows Vista" and "Radeon 9200 Series" or similar.
See if a driver download link then appears.
