found neat lil pump to flush and fill system

picked up a lil pump at TSC (Tractor Supply Co) local here. 12v dc 1gpm (60/hr) flushing rad with vinegar now...

It's sold for spot spraying of chemicals for farming, and it can be run dry :)

That's gotta be really helpful, especially for flushing. I'd expect it to be great for cleaning as well.
 
had my rad flushing for 2.5 hrs.. man that vinager is nasty now ;)

Just a word of advice to go easy on the vinegar flushing.. you shouldn't need more than an hour or so. More than that and the vinegar will start to react with the copper in the loop, stripping away layers of copper (or brass) bit by bit (the copper will dissolve in the vinegar). I read somewhere that if the vinegar has a blue tint after flushing, then copper ions are already dissolving.
