i am paying £9.99(monthly) to my isp for 24/7 unmetered modem(56k) but thay have a cable modem for £25 (sterling) do you guys think that this is "that" good its worth the extra £15 , as im on a low budget but am right into d/loading music and the possibility of the mummy etc etc in 1hour d/load is real temptation but what im trying to say is it worth sacrificing say £15 of oral combustibles of the home made variety for the best web short of t1??????????????????
:confused:

I'm not up to speed with the currency conversion, but I can tell you without a doubt, broadband will make you very happy.

Before you subscribe to any ISP, ask them outright what download and upload speeds you can expect on average.
Some providers in your part of the world, aren't much faster then dial up. Be sure to check into it before leaping for joy.

As blebs99 said check what upload and download speed you get. I pay £33 a month for 512kb cable.

If i can help it will never go back to dial up.

I have cable installed a month ago, since the first day I try it, I know I can't go back to Dial up. Now, I download 80Mb in just 10 minutes, if use dial up, it takes me whole night and the connection is not stable all the time.
Actually, it all depends on the amount of data u need to download, do u like to listen to music, watch video... To me, it is worth to pay a bit more to gain 100x speed. :>

I say go with cable...

BTW, where on the keyboard is the "£" symbol? I know that you in the UK have different keyboards, I am just curious where it is...
The "$" is shift+4.

Also, what about the symbol for the Euro?

£ = shift + 3

80Mb = 80 MEGA Bits

80MB = 80 MEGA Bytes

is that how it goes?
