Im planning on overclocking my future q6600 to as much as the default voltage will let me go (or slightly higher vcore). I was wondering if a thermalright Ultra 120 extreme plus one fn121 will let me cool this overclock. I dont know much about overclocking quad core cpu's. Thanks.

My other question is what the thermal spec on these cpu's are. Intel states core 2 duo's thermal spec is 65c, Can the quad core's handle more heat? Thanks.

ps. oops, this should be moved to the cooling section. Sorry.

thermal spec. 62.2C

close to defalt vloltage = a low overclock.. I would think you would know ALOT about air cooling, and pretty much any high end air cooler would be suffecent.

Its the thermal design power (105W) that makes things different (think pressler ;) ) Water is actually a good idea :p

Yeah water would probably be best for one of those quads. Not sure you will be able to squeeze much out of it with air.

well alright, thanks guys, its actually for someone else's quad core cpu, I just don't have any personal experience overclocking these quadmonster cpu's.
