8800GTS @ 513/792
CPU @ 2250mhz
Ram @ 3-5-5-10 1T @ 204mhz (333 Devider)

and ORB Says my score was

Using the Latest nvidia beta drivers...
would i see any difference if i overclocked my video card?

you should see a diff... although ur cpu is going to be bottlenecking a decent amount. considering my c2d e6600 @ stock with my gts @ stock i grab about 8300pts... then i oc my cpu and i get an extra 1k...

well i know my cpu is a small bottleneck.. i just thought i would get a decent score.

7500 is right on the money by the looks
My opty 175 gets 9100 running at 2.8Ghz with the card clocked at 600/2000 (though im not sure the mem is actually running at that). at stock which is the same as yours, i get 8100ish at the same cpu speed. My ram runs quite a bit faster too.
You will see a diff by overclocking the card, but you will see more of a diff by ocing the cpu further.

for sure... the 8800s can pump out so much info that a cpu bottleneck is quite easy.... with my c2d @ 3.0ghz and my 8800gts @ 600/2000 i grab 10130 pts.

well right now 2250 is the most i can do with the stock heatsink soooo i think i might have to wait a while.

my PR for 06 is 8120 - that was with my D920 @ 3.7GHz and my GTS @ 650/2000 - when i step up to a core 2 i wanna break 10K - that would make my day.

you should have no problem doing that with a c2d

Your CPU is going to have a large impact in 3DM06 CPU scores which will knock the props out from under the overall score.

"OPTERON?!?" FR3K you better get on a C2D while you're talking about blowing a hundred bucks on a fan. :)
I overclocked to 3ghz just to do my taxes...
What's his name's overclocked 8600GTS was able to do 7100 in 3Dmark06 (granted this was at 1100mhz core 1000mhz ram and 1.7v vcore... but still.)
Edit: Oh... and remember you were knocking the 8600GT:

Hehehehe! Don't get mad at me just because you want to spend $800 on a heatsink... The thing doesn't even come with a fan!
And what about those $200 power connectors you're talking about buying? SOMEBODY TALK HIM OUT OF IT!!! :p

Not bad. Just curious. I'm running the stock heatsink on my 165 and I have it clocked to 2.6 Ghz (though I do have to undervolt to keep temps down). How come you can't clock any higher with your heatsink? The stock ones for these opterons are quite good (the dual heat pipe one right?). And I'm with you on the C2D situation. I'm waiting till the summer to do a full upgrade including Vista, an undecided C2D chip and a Dx10 card. I just wish everything wasn't so expensive 8/
