I think my other thread got moved/deleted so I'll repost it here. Is this a good cooling choice? Has anyone used it? Opinions welcomed

Thats a pelt, IE in all probability it will suck. If you post this in the PELT area theyw ill be able to help you out much more theroughly.

Vapour compression systems might have a higher start up cost but superior Cooling per Watt then pelts can dream of having, and using a chiller is even more flexible and bang for the buck over the long term of opperating costs.

I've seen this come up a couple of times. Surprisingly, it does a pretty good job. Still not sure that I would buy one, though.

recent review of this setup: http://techgage.com/article/ultra_chilltec_cpu_cooler/

they gave it a 7/10

summary:

* Pros Solid construction
* Good looks
* Decent usage of peltiers

* Cons Worthless 5.25" bay module
* Complete lack of control over the TEC
* Cyclic fan speed increase (apparantly the fan adjusts its speed like crazy and gets quite annoying)
