hi

can anyone tell me which asus board takes P4 cpus and ddr ram? thanks or any other boards that's good? thanks. i'm planning to build one for a friend. never built a pentium system.

I don't know if Mobos with the new Via P4X266A chipset are just on the market, but for more info take a look to the Via website here

i have tried there but no luck in finding a board that take P4 w/ DDR. are there any suggestions w/ other boards...good ones?

The Shuttle AV40 apparently isn't too bad. It uses a VIA P4X266 chipset, and I've heard mostly positive reviews on it. MSI is releasing a board using the SiS 645 chipset called the 645 Ultra. Ought to be fast, but I suppose it's up to you if you'd trust a smaller chipset company like SiS to make a well-supported product.

youll have to wait till january when Intel releases their P4/DDR chipset, ASUS will have one then...

I think the Asus P4S333, is the only Intel based Asus DDR board at the moment, and I don't know if it's been released yet.
