Wireless Networking HELP

K I have a main computer hooked up to the Wave (Cogeco), and I have a laptop that is hooked up to teh Cogeco also through a hub. Now what I need is to connect the computer upstairs to the Cogeco also but with a Wireless unit. But the truth is I have no clue what I need for a wireless hookup...can anyone help me out here on what I need?

well, you can get a wireless router and a PCI wireless card for the tower and a PCMCIA wireless card for the laptop. Make sure it's all 802.11b standard because 802.11a is faster, but it's Intel's own version and incompatible with other wireless networks. Linksys, D-link, Cisco, all make wireless cards and routers. Check buy.com or another online retailer for information. OR actually your local Best Buy is probably having good sales this time of year.
