View Full Version : What is a Good and Fast SUSI for the price on a PC?

I'm looking for a good fast SUSI hardrive for a decent price.. what are some good ones that I should look at? Price I want to spend is about $300 to $500 dollars..

do you mean SCSI? you should ask this in general hardware. :D

I am going to assume you mean SCSI and mistyped.
In addition to a SCSI drive you will need a SCSI card. Adaptec is the leading card maker. Tekram also makes some good cards and are much lower priced than the Adaptec cards. If you are willing to spend the money I would recomend a card that can do U160. The adaptec model for desktops is 19160, I do not remember what the Tekram model is.
For hard drives look at Seagate and Fujitsu, they have the best SCSI drives. IBM makes SCSI drives as well.

Seagate Cheetah 36.7 36XL

is a pretty nice drive. it's a 10000 rpm drive.

Cheetah X15 36LP is nice too.
