i just ordered a bunch of stuff from pcmods, but they dont have fan filters. i need one for the 120 im installing in the front of my case with a big hole and a duct. what do you guys use as filters to keep dust out? something like pantyhose? gimme some ideas.

Believe it or not, pantyhose wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm using both furnace filter and duct filters and my airflow is cut down. I can still open the door and drop 2C in temp. If the door is only ajar slightly, the vacuum in the case will shut it for me. (I watercool, and use only the one 120mm fan blowing out)

The Mrs. is getting dressed up tonight, maybe she'll snag one.....:D

You can get 'em in black too.

I tried Panty hose but I find that ordinary plastic screening sold at any hardware stores works really well.

You can buy a sqr. Yard of this screening for like a dollar.

I find that using 2 or 3 layers keeps dust out and lets more air in than panty hose.

These are what I use, they are gr8 cause you just pop the front off and clean the filter.

It took me a while to find some thin enough but I use a sponge-foam material made for an air conditioner filter.
