200 bucks for 1xgb? Is it me or is Bestbuy smoking something? Not to offend Bestbuy, but is that a rip or what?

Most times things at best buy and walmart are rip offs computer wise.. I only buy my printer stuff there and other little things like a web cam and such.

Best Buy has always overcharged for memory. I got a deal on some PC-3200 stuff a few years back, but nothing since.

They (retail stores) know they can charge that much because old fashioned people who still like to buy in stores will not have looked online for better prices. They probably don't keep too many in stock, but when people buy them I'm sure they make a truckload of profit.
