When you fill the L1 bridge gaps with super glue, can u remove it? Also anyone know of a good online store that has conductive pens or paint?

I think that super glue is pretty permenant. Don't laugh but I got my fingers stuck together using Super Glue. It took 2Hrs soaking in warm water and gentle prising to get them apart. It took about another day to pick the rest of the glue off. The nozzel on the tube was blocked and it spurted over my fingers. Not funny at the time, but a laugh a minute looking back on it:D

I see you finally started a thread:beer:

Why would you want to remove the super glue from inside the pit/slit of the XP:eh?: If you are thinking about how to RMA that if you mess up or something then you really cant expect that, there will always be traces of anykind of material left in there but a few will disagree on that point. When you start to O/C a chip you void the warranty & will have to accept whatever happens. BUT if you just want to make sure that you got a pristine looking job of unlocking then you can use acetone/nail polish remover to soften it up then scrape/rub off with a plastic credit card.

Check at Chemtronics list of distributors for someone near you or Radio Shack has one but only online:burn:

I dont wanna use Super glue cause If i cant get it to work, I wanna get rid of the super glue and start all over again. that all. I wont lie to AMD if i screw up. If I do I will take it like a man:beer:

Use white silicon thermal paste, NOT superglue. Trust me :)

what about white out? i've been hearing alot of that. seems more permanent than thermal paste but not as permanent as superglue.

Yeah, or you could just trust me. I've done everything on many diff procs. The best thing is the silicon paste.

I used Tester Model Paint. It worked great and can be removed with paint thinner.

I did screw up the first time as the paint bleed under the tape.

A little paint thinner and I started over.

You can pickup a conductive pen here (http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=910-3890)
