Will DDR 400 work?

no ddr and ddr2 are vastly different. ddr2 has many more pins then ddr.

Don't.

Even if a RAM module appears to fit, or does actually fit physically in the slot, don't unless you know for sure that your board will support that speed and frequency of module.

I had a mobo ruined by putting DDR 400 when the board only supported DDR 266/200.
 
ddr2 is keyed differently then ddr, there is no way to make it fit.
