i'm trying to find the best SLI card for around $200.

i found the EVGA 512-P2-N635-AR GeForce 7950GT 512MB at $220. does that sound good or is there anythign else i missed? or should i for a better 6 series for $200

6 series it not better then 7. i would go with 7950gt if you could get it lower, i would suggest atm to go with a 8800gts 640 for not much more. then wait a bit to snag anouther since around june-july NV will be releasing 8900's.

where do you suggest to get it from, i've looked and its at least another $100 to have 8800gts 640

But, from what I've seen, a single 8800 GTS 640 can outperform 2 79XX cards in SLI. And SLI is a bit of a hassle.

If that's the case, any 79xx card is an excellent card for the money. Only thing is that DX10 cards are out now and games will start using DX10 pretty soon (maybe the next couple of months), although games requiring DX10 from any gaming company (other than maybe Miscrosoft, but who cares about halo 2?) are a few years off.

in that case then just go with the single 7950gt... i just got another 7900gt ko in the classies here for $185. no i got sli going on, tring to wait out a bit for 8900's to come out and drop in price.
