how far can you oc a 8800gts?

hey guys,

so like some other people i have a nvidia 8800gts 640mb(yes nvidia, not asus, evga etc.)

now i want to oc this little monster, but whenever my core hits 660 it freezes :S

also i have no idea of how high the mem can go and i need advice on that before i put it too high :P

i have it running @ 653/871 right now

any tips? tricks

PS: i do not want to vmod it!

how did you get a nvidia card... if im not mistaken nvidia doesnt make cards at all... they make refrence designs and sell their chips to companies like evga.

n e ways i have had mine up to 640/1000(2000mhz effective)

well i bought it from some guy which got it from his work, but really there is only the nvidia sticker on it, i think ill need a bios readout from the card :)

according to nibitor it is really an nvidia card, and that is if you believe the bios and the sticker :)

My 8800gts is an Asus card, it shows up as nvidia also.:)
