This is a dumb question, but i can't remember exactly without further confusing myself. If a video card uses ddr vram, I don't have to have a DDR compliant motherboard correct?

for real?? What happens if you put the DDR video card in a "non" DDR mobo would it still work? Or does putting the DDR Video in a DDR mobo make the use of it's DDR ram?

It will defintely be DDR itself, the card is a self "mobo" itself...

The memory on your video card has nothing to do with the memory in your motherboard, if you have either DDR or SDRAM, it wont make a difference to your video card.
