I used a eheim pump in my last loop. pros=pumps a ton of water with a ton of pressure; didnt cost much. cons=huge, power hungry, hot, mine was noisy, but that is hit or miss with watercooled pumps.

you need to be sure it can be run unsubmersed though, many water feature pumps are designed to have an open intake, not be hooked up in a circuit.
