I currently have the following:

Ballistix Tracer DDR2-1000 PC2-8000
Ultra X-Finity 600W
e4300

I was wondering if someone could recommend me a motherboard and any other things I will need to overclock this computer. How fast should I overclock to keep the computer stable? Thanks!

Price range is around 100-150. What is the max that I can overclock with the RAM i bought?

Well Im waiting for my stuff to get in, and put it together this weekend, but this is what I ordered.
E4300, gigabyte 965-DS3 rev 3.3, and EVGA 8800GTS from ClubIT.com
250g WD drive, 2gigs of GSKill pc6400 HK ram, from newegg.com
PSU is an antec 550 that I already had. I hope to hit 3ghz for sure, if all goes well, if not more. Ill know more this weekend.

The RAM will NOT hold you back. In fact, that RAM is probably overkill with an E4300. As for motherboard, get the Gigabyte DS3 if you are on a budget or Asus P5B-Deluxe if you can afford a little more.

Thanks for all the help everyone. So here is what i have decided on.

Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2-1000 PC2-8000
Ultra X-Finity 600W
GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300
BFG Tech BFGW6600GTOCX GeForce 6600GT 128MB

What is a good overclock speed? I've heard of people overclocking it to 3.4ghz. Will I require any additional cooling hardware? Also, can someone recommend a decent case that is not to expensive?

You will definetely want a decent heatsink on that 4300 if you want to run 24/7 at 3GHz. I recommend the Thermaltake Big Typhoon which you can get for around $40, or the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro as a cheaper solution. There are better heatsinks but I don't think they are necessary for the added cost.

A nice case is the NZXT Apollo starting at $45 AR at the egg.

I just built a computer for a friend using the Apollo and hardware similar to yours. I have his e6420 easily overclocked to 3.2GHz with an unlapped Big Typhoon using the stock grease (I forgot my AS5 at home and was lazy :bang head ). The Apollo will also sport three fans providing excellent airflow and can easily house that 8800 of yours. The case itself looks above average as well, very flashy and stylish. For the price its hard to beat.

Best of luck.

EDIT: I thought you said you got an 8800. My bad, but it will house the 6600 even better. :)

Just a suggestion, I'd skip the BFG6600, and at least consider a 7600 or 7900GS.

I bought the pc in my signature, E4300, already overclocked to 2.4Ghz with a 2 year warranty. Now I don't know if I'd be ignoring the warranty and playing with stock speeds just the same, but that's not the issue.

I mean if a supplier is ready to give a 2 year warranty on an E4300 OC'd to 2.4Ghz using a coolermaster hyper tx he would know what he is doing... hopefully!

Just have a look at my signature to know type of PSU, RAM, case, video card etc.
