AMD 2ghz??

I heard somewhere that physically they have taken the CPU as far as they can go... they are working on two designs I have heard about

one being DNA based and the other being clockless... and is in use by the military right now, meaning we should see it in 5-10 years maybe??? Just a guess.

I am curious, why do we have to wait so long for really cool things like clockless CPUs when the government is already using them? Its not like its some big secret or anything. :o I'm tired. I think its time for bed.

security .... the military and government needs the better technology .... if they were equal to a 15 year old hacker wannabe - it would be a sad world to live in!

now the IRS ... I see their computers frequently - my aunt and uncle work for the much loved department of government! adn their rigs ... ohhh man its bad! real bad!

as for military - I got a friend who just retired from a high security position in radio technologies and he still to this day can not talk about the stuff from a few years ago!!!

the wait is always worth it though.

I believe by amd's roadmap they will release an athlon xp clocked at 2ghz in the second quarter of 2002.

i heard on techTV that they will be using new matrix chips, cause soon chips will reach there limit, cause inorder to get more speed the chip has to be smaller.

I also saw the thing on techtv about matrix chips where they are going to build the chip UP instead of out to "save real estate". That would be a heat issue though, not near as bad as intel's idea for CPU as hot as the son lol.]

I would write more about the 3-d chips if you want just ask i'm just in a very bad mood. I have everything for my comp (see below) And it doesn't post! I've tried 6 differant cpu's on 2 tyan s2460's and NOTHING! HELP!!!!!!
