contemplating 4gb of gskill

i'm wondering if this 4gb pair of cas5 gskill ddr2-800 could be pushed to 950mhz to match my current overclock

I doubt it. I've only been able to push mine to 425. But then again, I'm running 4 sticks.

He was only able to push them to 420 with 4-4-4 timings. So, you could say they don't overclock well.

RAM voltage was set to default at 1.8v. CPU voltage was 1.45. Here's the thread where I discussed my 8x425 overclock:


The strange thing was that increasing PCI-E to 115 allowed me to do it. There's a post on the GSkill support forum from GSkill that basically says it's OK to run these at 2.2v. I admit that I haven't really pushed the RAM too hard. When I bought it, it was $429 a set! (and I bought 2 sets!) The thought of destroying $860 of RAM kept me on the conservative side.
