Well you definatly didn't hesitate to give it the onion did ya:D
and its looking pretty stable too
speaking of the onion...5543 3D marks in 3Dmark 2000
and I have a TNT2 card...man this chip is insane
will post some screenies whenever I feel comfortable enough to turn my case back upright and install photoshop
Hey you don't need photoshop you can just select the sandra tab press Alt+Print Screen and then paste..
I really want to see those benchmarks :)
5000 is sort of insane with only a TNT hehe
still not 100% stable yet but a few more days/weeks of burn-in should fix that. Temps dont seem very high either 37-39C
can i do print screen directly into the forum? didn't know that

Many comps deez, you have choosed really a great OCers chip ;)
about the Sandra print screen, you must first of all paste the image (Ctrl+V) into an image editor program, after resize the image @600x600, save the image in .jpg and at the end attach the file to you reply from your local folder :)

Don't worry, I hope you've spent good time ;)
Just a little progress update
I was having some probs. with the ole BP6 and we had several TUSL-2C's at work so I got one tonight at their cost and its just coming out of my check on Friday
I know some people have complaints about these boards but so far everything looks great. I burned in at 66FSB 1.95v on the BP6 and right now I'm running @ 1.31 and default voltage
wont boot at 133FSB yet but I haven't seen temps go over 35C load. Its running at 29C right now in fact
not sure exactly but it was about $100. Not much savings over ordering online but no shipping cost and no hassle. And if I have any problems our distributor/wholesaler is a block away
Well I just heard the TUSCL2 has problems if going over 133fsb so well good luck.
Price here is about 179.00 so thats about 110USD so good buy.

First of all, P4 sucks.
Because they aren't so optimized for current or old applications in both 2D and 3D. P4, not so good for 3DMark 2000 either. You should get better result with the 3DMark 2001.
Have u ran the 3DMark 2000 in default bench?? default is what we go by. And ditch that TNT card of yours. It's too old.
More detail about my machine and benchmarks are in my siggy.
CPU Burn-in method is used to help OC your CPU better with lesser amount of Vcore than you need now to get to X number of mhz. Burn-in method isn't 100% guaranteed. You might get NO result or GOOD result. Also depends on how well/properly you burn-in. All depends on the user what he/she is doing. If you want to burn-in, you've absolutely better get a good cooling setup i.e. high performance HSF with good case ventilation setup. Temp inside the case is very important too. The basic law of to do this is to keep the CPU cool as possible while it is being burned-in@ high Vcore@ LOW FSB. 100FSB or LOWER. 66fsb is even better. One of the burn-in proggies is "Sisoft Sandra". That's very common software to use and works pretty good. You burn-in for few days and see any result. If not, do 1 week. if not, do whole month!! if not, then your CPU don't wanna listen and you've better forget about it. Trash that sucker and get another one that listens to you more.

Running tests in 640x480 16bit
The 5543 was on my Abit BP6 mobo with AGP aperture set to 256 Mb runnin Win 98 with the latest drivers from NVidia and the vid card is also overclocked
My score right now on the ASUS is in the mid 4000 range b/c I only have AGP aperture setting of 64Mb in the bios...my OS is now XP Pro and I'm having some probs with the NVidia drivers for XP so I'm running Microsoft drivers currently.
PACBOY....I know you've been having probs with your system from reading some of your past threads so thats probably contributing to lower scores. You may also update your vid card drivers and make sure all bios settings are correct as well as having the correct bios...which is not always the newest version depending on your CPU.
Settings such as AGP aperture size and RAM cas latency and timing will affect system performance in 3D apps. If you are unsure of what bios settings should be then reset all to default
ALSO....TNT2 cards are a bit ancient...I'm upgrading soon. Actually I had a GF2 ti450 Gainward but it was giving me probs so I returned for a refund today
still adjusting setings in XP but got the nvidia drivers to work with scores almost as good as on the old (unstable) Abit...scores rose about 1000 points with the Nvidia drivers
