Hi and welcome to you Torben!
Actually I don't know the answer to your question, but I just had to say hello to another Dane.
I'm sure someone else can help you. ;)
Have fun :)

It's doubtful that you will have too many o/c options with a pre-built system. You can find out by going into the BIOS and seeing what options are there. It sounds like you're new to this so I would suggest gaining as much knowledge before you start fiddling around with the settings though.

See if you can find out whether you can change the multiplier of FSB in the bios. That would be a good start. If not, perhaps you can identify your Mobo and download an updated BIOS if available. But most likely there isn't going to be one with o/c options.

OEMs (retail) PCs very rarely have the typical capabilities required to overclock. Typically, the motherboard needs either jumpers or BIOS control of various voltage/FSB speed/multipliers.

You should research your model, and look for any flexibility. Also, going into the BIOS is a good idea, just to see if these inputs exist there.

Most likely, the answer will be no.... However, all is not lost. There is also software available that might get you a few % improvement. CPUFSB and SoftFSB come to mind. To use these you need to identify the PLL on the Mobo.

Definitely, look around at articles here to get a better understanding of overclocking.

Always remember, Heat is the enemy.
Good Luck.

Compaq...you can forget about overclocking. They don't allow it at all. But for upgrades you might want to go to compaq's web site and see what hardware you have/can have in there.

sorry we cant help you that much unless we know what it is

my advice would be to put all the jumpers back to where they were when you got it ( im assumeing it was working when you got it)

probably the only thing you can upgrade cheaply is the memory and mabey the cpu
