So I am running a nvidia raid 0 and this morning I wake up to it saying that I need to boot from a cd. I was confused because I didnt shut it down last night... When i started it back up it said that the raid 0 array was having an error and when i entered the utility it didnt say that it could see one of my hitachi drives. So I ran hitachi fitness tests on both drives and they BOTH checked out. I reeneabled the raid function on those drives and now it starts up. Should I be worried about anything?

i have a raid 1 setup as well containing all my really important stuff.
Sounds like a controller error. Thats scary. I just took my system out of raid for the first time in about 15 months. I decided that on a 170.00 mobo, the cheap raid controller just wasn't worth it(Matrix).
Considering a nice raid card cost 300.00+, and the entire mobo cost 170.00, it's just not worth trusting the cheap on board raid controller.
I really don't notice much difference except at boot time. which is rare anyway.
