Hello all.

I am plannig to upgrade to an Athlon XP soon. Which speed is recommended here for best cost/perfomance?
Will the 1800 or 1700 OC as well as the 1900?? Any warnings or opinions on the XP series would be welcomed.

Thanks

i agree the 1600+ overclocks very well and only costs a little more then the 1500+

Yes I agree, it seems the 1600 is the best OC'er of them all with some getting to over 1700MHz! I saw 1 guy get to 1743 on air...my 1800 can barely beat that!

I would have to disagree with the rest of you guys. I had an XP1600 and it was pretty bad in the overclocking department. I could only get 1.6Ghz from it with an Vcore of 2.2volts. So if you are buying an XP1600+ make sure you get a good stepping that someone here on the forums have achieved good results with.

xp 1600 is my choice as well. I have one sitting my cabnet that did 1700mhz easily on air.
