Well, for those of us that missed a crazy deal on the PC-8000 version, here is a decent deal on the PC-8500 Ballistix D9 sets.

Yesterday it was the Tracers on sale for that price...now they are back up in price and the non-Tracers are on sale. They have been swapping back and forth, but each time they keep inching down. Started off with the Tracers for $145, then the non for $138, then the Tracers were lower and now the non. Can't hardly wait to see what happens as they near the end of the rebate (5/18/07).
From my way of thinking this is not a "decent deal", but instead, a GREAT DEAL!

Well, the price is great, but MIRs can be a pain. I saw the Tracer thread, almost bit on those--I think the LEDs would drive me nuts though.
I ordered a set of these today, but I am still kicking myself for missing the Ballistix PC-8000 deal...

These are great sticks...look in the Tracer thread for the link to XS thread. These sticks rock...and at $125 they will provide a great bang for the buck.
If you have any troubles with your rebates contact newegg (after the time frame on the rebate form) and they will help you. They credited my PP account for the rebate last year when the manufacturer did not even acknowledge the rebate. As you probably know...keep copies of everything you send them.

Between the 8000 and 8500?.....about $50 profit diff on ebay :D . Seriously though I'd like to find out because you can get the 8000 at buy.com for $114.99 NO MIR, you just gotta work all the deals they have. Whether it's the new chip they've got or the improvements p35 has shown and I don't think either explains these type of blowouts on ddr2 as the general public couldn't tell you a thing about any of those. But, not just these, but all the other deals they are getting to a point where you might start getting free ddr2 with any cpu or mobo or vid card whatever......it is getting close to that cheap.
Oh and for your night club I hope this is part of a new trend, racing led's in every component....no need for a xmas tree this year. Honestly though I couldn't care if they glowed hot neon pink as long as they performed a good as they do.....and stay inside my WINDOWLESS P160 case, ty anodized aluminum panels.
One last thing, has anyone ever had newegg ship them an order on Sunday? I ordered a e6420 early friday and it was stuck on step 3 but the odd thing is it still had the cancel option, which for me always disappeared at 3 immediately. I figure obviously it didn't ship, and I see on their site and UPS it shipped this afternoon.....weird. Now I'm in a panicked rush to find a mobo for it and the tracers. Oh well back to searching.

Yep, the 8K's will be for sale soon. They are Balistix D9's that I bought on the Classies from Krag.
My 8500's arrived on Friday. I will try to run 4X1GB before I get rid of the 8K's though. I like easy OC'ing and see that in the 8500's.............

Thread back from the dead .....
Well my 8500's WERE better than my 8000's but the 8500's are on there way back to NewEgg via a RMA. They just started crapping out on me for no reason. Not sure what was happening but they could not pass memtest at PC 4800 speeds. I have to decide do I want to give them another go or sell them fresh from RMA. I am not sure but since I know me I will most like give them another go...........
