View Full Version : Who ate my WU?
About 10 am i got a new WU (small little 2 hour job). It finished while I was at lunch and has started a new one (villin, which takes about 8 hrs). But the F@H site doesn't show any changes since 7 am this morning. I'm not as worried about the points as, what the heck is going on? Are my future WUs gonna get eaten too
Anyone have any ideas about what may have happened? (I guess I am worried about the points since I'm trying to break the 100 point milestone by tonite :D )
Sometimes it takes a while before it will show up. example you turn it in right after it just updated then something happens and they miss an update(been known to happen) then it could take six hours or more to show up. Hope this helps. Fold on!!!!
I don't think that is the problem since I've been checking the site regularly today and it shows results being submitted by our group almost every hour on the hour.
I'm just worried that the WU's may be getting lost or something.
I don't think that they have all their servers checked at the same time. this could be it or not. just wait it out and see what happens.
It's hard to tell what's going on. I know that there were a couple of problems with the stats db automatically updating for some users/proteins and that they were doing some of it by hand. I suppose you could check the work folder to be sure that the work was sent back and not placed in queue. That happens from time to time, but doesn't seemed to have happened much lately. IOW I don't know. anyone?? anyone??
Obviously it got fixed somehow. Just makes me wonder what happened. Oh well, who cares, got my points :D
I'd say that it just didn't show up in the stats right away, then...eh?
I've had this happen to me several times. I'll sit here when I get home from work, and say "Where are the points?? I know I finished a couple of WU's...."
Then, two updates later, I'll post a "6" for points, and I know I hadn't turned in any for that particular update period....
They show up eventually.
