I cannot get this info from the Asus site. They talk about a BIOS update with Celeron mAO (SEPP slot1 Mendocino) support. But nowhere about cu-mine CPU's. Is (or has) anyone running this board with a slotket and CeleronII?! A friend of mine can buy this complete rig real cheap, but it's only gonna be usefull if we can stick a Celeron 700/733/766 in it and OC it to 75Mhz FSB.

That's a big NOPE.

I had this board- I could never get anything besides a genuine P2 to run on it. That BIOS uodate you mentioned was supposed to enable support for the old Slot1 Celerons, like the 300A- I got the patch and my 300A STILL wouldn't work on this board.:) I'm pretty sure it's a voltage problem.

It was a great part while it lasted, but the LX chipset really has problems.
