or shouldn't I hook my PC up to my 50 inch TV for a gaming session? I don't want to burn an image in my TV but if the images are continually moving I shouldn't have to worry about that do I?

What is it, a CRT, LCD, DLP, Palsma? As long as you dont let it sit still on one picture for hours at a time, you will be fine. Burn-In only occurs when the same image it displayed for hours and hours.
