xp 1600+ problems

im runin a new xp 1600+ and im gettin softwear truble,like when installin programs.aslo explorer laggs along with other progs.does anyone get the same problms or know y this mite b,im thinkin ov takin it back and gettin an mp or t bird as my old 1 didnt give me any problems.thanks

iwill kk266r latest bios
256 kingmax pc 150 with Tt ramsinks
GeForce 2 gts (ive heard somone say that xp chip have problems with these cards?)
ibm deskstar 40gig 7200rpm

do u have the latest bios update for your board? i had to update my bios and there was a setting in the new bios called s2k slew rate i had to set to 1 for my xp or 3 for a tbird

yer my bios is the new 1 it sees it as an xp and evrythin but ill have a look thanks

btw when u upgraded to the new bios did u reset ur bios to defaults?

yep i did.my boards probly diferent i think i does all that on its own,its a good board everythins in the bios.theres only about 3 jumpers.ill check 4 another bios update
