After owning this cpu for a couple of months I decided to have a little play, so I opened up cpuz to have a look at what stock was sitting at, and I find that the cpu is at 1200 instead of 1800. The reason for which is that the multi is at 6. So I've gone into the bios but the bios says that it's at 9, back into windows and every program I use, i'm reading 6x200=1200. Any ideas what's up? Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything in the search.

Jamie.

speedstep? EIST? turn those off in bios, they throttle the cpu down when it's not in use.

I turned EIST off when I got the mobo, just checked again and it's still off.

EDIT: Problem solved, I turned off C1E and it jumped straight to 1800.

Lol I had exactly the same confusing issue for the e4300 in my signature - read about it here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=512417

I also attached a screenshot of CPUz with my pc at idle running at 1600 and under load where it automatically jumps up to 2400.
