real time chat for the team??

could any mod who reads this tell me if u are working on any type of real time chat for us? i thought the irc room was a good idea but since it didnt work out how it was suposed to will there be a different type of real time chat some time in the near future??

I believe Skip is mulling it over. The issue is having good control over what takes place there. Overclockers cannot afford to point to, and/or in any way support a chat room where warez and completely unmoderated chat takes place. Something like that could get overclockers in big trouble. Give Skip some time, but don't bug him about it.

how bout some kind of web based java chat system
ive seen this implemented on a few sites i visit
no need for clients or anything

but as tc,moderation and such things would need to be looked into

For the time being guys we just need to stick it out with ICQ and the like. I apologize but unfortunately that is really one of the few options right now. Thank you guys for understanding.

Find me a good chat system that will run on Linux and has good Moderator capabilities and I will get it setup and running.

Can be Java, IRC or PHP based.
