Does my X800GTO2 support the 1680x1050 resolution of a 22" widescreen? I'm contemplating the purchase of a 22" Widescreen because of their dropping prices but don't want to waste my money if it's not going to look right.

Thanks,
Jason

hell ya it does!!! :)

and i know first-hand... 1680x1050 on my 20" widescreen worked, and 1920x1200 on my 24" widescreen worked... and I've done this on NUMEROUS gto2 cards, so I'm 100% sure.

quick enough response for ya? :)

it will support the resolution, but gaming on it(at that resolution) may be a little overtaxing for that card

Yes I figure it'll get pushed harder but in my cards defense, though it's not in my sig, it's been unlocked to 16 pipes and overclocked to 550/600 plus it can go a little higher but not much on stock cooling. I'll get the bug to upgrade my graphics card later of course.

that card will hold up to certain games - i know from experience... if you're playing Source, it'll still kick ass... trust me!!! Just don't set everything TOO high... keep filters at 2x/4x and it does amazingly... of course you'll lack on sm3.0, but that's not too big of an issue.
