GlaciatorII/ Pal8045 with Panaflo...the Pal will cool better, but is a little expensive...
I just installed my glaciator2 last night and I am loving it. I am running at 45 full load. with a minimal overclock. check the sig. I am running F@H which is how I am getting my load temp. With my cak38 I could brely get 45 while idle. hope this helps.

I have the Aplha 8045 on A AK31 MOBO. I had to do a few small mods to make it work though.

is the Swiftech MCX462 with a Panflo 80mm high fan better than the Alpha Pan8045t with a Panflo 80mm high fan?

I have seen two reviews with both of the HS pitted against each other. In one test the Alpha scored better and the other the Swift did better. How much better for either HS? 1-2 Cs. Now I bet those that tested the HS did not go to the extreme of polishing and lapping the Alpha. The entire Alpha's I have seen have small ridges which tells me that 50 percent of the HS is only touching the chip. Now you’re asking the ASll or any other compound to fill the voids. If the Alpha did this well against the Swift how well would it do after the lapping and polishing? It seems to me Alpha should take the next step and offer their HS with a mirror finish and completely flat without the ridges.
