Was surfing today and came across a pic of the AuzenTech X-Fi Prelude (http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/audio/1451-auzen-x-fi-prelude-pic.html) Seems it will do realtime DD and DTS as well as EAX 5.0 and future support for HDMI 1.3.

i have been looking for a nice sound card. This might be it i miss my EAX

I was seriously thinking about getting one, but I'm kinda in the air about it right now.

The big thing about it for me was the DDLive/DTS Connect + EAX, CMSS. But then I got to thinking... I'm gonna miss out on the analog outputs of the card which is what makes its prices so high in the first place if I use the digital output, as well as having to use my receivers pitiful (as compared to my Audigy2 Zs) speaker setup/settings to setup my 7.1 system. I think I'd rather save the cash and just stick with my ZS, as I also prefer its own built in DD/DTS decoding then WinDVDs or my recievers decoding.

I wonder if it'll come (or have a model with) with a 5.25" bay panel like my platinum does since I like having the remote and front headphone port. It looks like it has the IDE type connector for one. Might have to get one (might build a new pc after this summer job is over and leave the platinum in my current one)

so from the looks of it, unless it has a drive bay with optical in/out im not gonna look into this thing. even though i know theres no difference in Coax to Tos but i think it would just be cooler to say "Oh ya i have a Tos setup at home its freakin shweet" but oh well if it adds up to all the hype i might look into it, digital audio sounds good to me.

It's released in the UK on one or two sites, I can't remember exactly which ones.

NCIXUS just received their shipment today (wednesday) and are shipping out their preorders.

What the heck, I just recently posted that Newegg listed it within the last day or two. Wierd dissapearing post :o Anyhow NCIXUS is still a better deal in pure $$, maybe not quite as fast as Newegg but a decent amount less.
